A few of us entered our knitting projects in the Minnesota State Fair. When we arrived this morning, we saw the results. And here they are!
Susan Rainey not only won 1st place *and* the sweepstakes with Lyra, which she entered in the table linens category. She also won 1st place for this beautiful hooded jacket.
Ellen Silva won 2nd place for her skull & cross bones skully. She also took 2nd place with her beautiful ornate vest.

It is great you got a picture of Susan with her Lyra. I wish I'd thought to catch you with your diva neckwarmer.
Hey - this time you beat me to the blog!
Coolio! You Minnesota knitters are awesome. Susan's Lyra is amazing and I love the edge finish on your neckwarmer. I hopefully will get to see Ellen's stuff in person someday soon. If possible, when group is meeting so I can meet you all. Congratulations!!!
How did I not notice? My Lyra is being displayed wrong side up??!!?? Your good friend Ellen commented on my blog about it and when I checked a close up photo, sure emough it's wrong side up. I need new glasses! I don't know when I'll get back to the fair to tell them to flip it, but it bugs me!
Fun hanging out with you yesterday and congrats on your ribbon!
Congrats!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congrats on your well-deserved prize, Eryka!
I am just so excited for you! Congrats on placing! I think that's marvelous. I had no idea knitting could be part of the fair. I will have to check what we do in Illinois for next year. It may be worth the five hour drive to Springfield!
I'm so thrilled for you - I cannot say!
Thanks for the well wishing! I could not have done it with out the encouragement of my sisters!
Congrats!! That must be so exciting! I hope this encourages you to enter again. :-)
