Fiber Therapy/ Spence-Along Update

Hi,

I have been working steadily on my Spencer and I have made what I consider some good progress on my sleeve. Here it is. I am hopeful that I will be starting on the body soon. It is such an amazing pattern. I have noticed something though, working this pattern is a little different for me. I love bulky weight yarns and big needles, not only because the knit up so quickly, but I just love how plush they look when you finish knitting them. With the Spencer, I am using like a size 7 needle (I know for some people that IS a big needle), which allows me to see more detail in the garment. Knitting is such a wonderful journey.

I left the office at lunchtime today to run an errand, and since I was in the neighborhood, I stopped into Needlework Unlimited for a little fiber therapy. I just changed work stations and the place I am sitting now is much colder than my previous location.
So I am making an office shawl out of some variegated Socos yarn by Ester Bitran in the green tones. I think is just a lovely chunky hand dyed yarn and I just love green. I think it will be pretty. Has anyone worked with this yarn before?

BTW, Shepherd's Harvest is coming up on May 9-10 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, MN. A small group of us are going and it would be great if more people could come out and show their support. Are you coming? It would be great to connect with new friends over bins of fiber and fabulous yarn.

Ta!

Eryka
