I'm actually going to start my blog with political opinions as this election is too big to ignore and I have to get my opinion out there.
How Hillary Clinton Is The Real Life Frank Underwood
We all know and love the show “House of Cards” where Kevin Spacey holds us all captive as he delves deeper into the depravity of American politics. As much as we love to watch Frank we probably wouldn’t be so keen of him really being in the White House. But is there a chance we are already heading in that direction? Though Hillary clearly has spent more time in the political ring than her adversary Donald Trump and been appearing to bring voters to her side in droves there still has been some odd facts about the Democratic Nominee that would put anyone on edge.
One of the off key examples would be paid speeches Hillary has performed. Political figures being paid for speeches is not odd and rather common. What is odd is that for some unknown reason Hillary refused to say what the speeches were about. Why the secrecy? Over months media pressured Hillary to talk about her paid speeches to Goldman Sachs only to have the candidate talk around the questions and even to go as far as refusing to release the transcripts of her speech from, 2013 and 2014. The veil came down in October of 2016 when experts of her speech was published on whistleblower site, Wikileaks. Though the speech weren't as shocking as expected to be, there were hints of Clinton willing to be liaison between big business and government. Could her willingness to let money do the talking cause her to want to hide the speech from the voters?
In the show House of Cards, one of the main appeals to the political drama is the shock of how far Frank would do whatever it takes to get what he wants, that includes murder. The accusation of Hillary doing the same comes from a conspiracy tie connected with the Clinton administration and the shocking death of Deputy White House council Vince Foster. On July 20th 1993, Foster was found dead in Fort Marcy Park with what appeared to be a gunshot through the head. Though Foster had suffered a long history of depression and anxiety it seemed odd to the rest of the country that Foster was to die only shortly after the Whitewater scandal that ignited an investigation of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s real estate investments. Foster was known for being a very honest man, an honest man who knew intimate and highly secure information about the Clintons. The Foster theory has always been just that, a theory. But countless people who has spent time reading up on his death admits something just isn’t being explained.
The accusations of shady business in government and even murder may sound over the top. But as Hillary is put in the hot seat during this election year, we have seen countless examples of how this woman likes to play dirty. Perhaps Hillary isn’t having cigars with Putin in a back stairwell of the White House but there is no doubt that the wellbeing of the American people is not at the top of her list. When deciding between Clinton or Trump consider this, there is one politician who may say to much but there is another politician who won’t say anything.
I just had to get this off my chest. Back to some knitting! I'm working on a scarf for my good friend Carol just in time for Fall! :)
